Why have I written so few lately? Let's put it like that: In Riga I had a nice full accessible Computer with nearly new Hardware and 2mbit upload.
At the moment I sit in front of a 15inch screen, with Windows 98, 128MB RAM, write in a Mozilla and the speed is about 56K. Well but at least its air conditioned here. The weather is quite comfy and cool today 24°C and 100% humidity, but I am still sweating instantly. But hey its better than 31°C and 100% humidity at 1 o'clock in the morning.
The fly to Delhi was fantastic, almost like a dream. I have booked it last minute as usual over the internet, and I checked for the cheapest flight (850.- sFr for Economy) A rather good price, there were flights for several thousand aswell.
The check-in was simple, I got both boarding passes and I got the seat at the emergency exit, after the transfer at the airport in Zurich, I got called back after I went through the boarding check and got a new boarding pass. Instead of seat 22B I got seat 8K.
While boarding the flight attendends tell me to go to the left, I look to the left, looks wrong, I ask again for 8K: "yes go to the left please". I am a bit sceptic but I take the seat and look around, I got something to dring nearly instantly and I ask a bit irritated: "That's bussines-class, is it?" - Which was answered with a quick "Yes". I looked at my Ticket and indeed there was my name on it, and also the seat 8K, and also a remark "Business Class". I calculate the probabilities that someone with the same Name as mine is flying in the plane to delhi and look into the direction of the entrance door. But nobody was complaining about my seat, and therefore I could fly business class from Zurich to New Delhi.
I searched for the prices in business class, the flyight without the transit from Kiew costs 5'500.- sFr. And I probably payed a bit more than 500.
I enjoeyed the flight, The Food was delicious, I took the menu card with me as a souvenir. The flight was very comfy I would like to enjoy flying business class again in the future :)
After the flight the comfort went down dramatically. In the midst of the night, hot, humid and a taxi without Air Condition... but at least I found my hotel and had a bed. They tried to give me a room without air condition, but in the end I god my little air conditioned chamber I wouldn't even rate this hotel one single star, but it is enough for sleeping. But still I hope the rooms won't get worse on my journey.
Delhi is the pure chaos... traffic on the left side, traffic rules nobody must or can understand. This city is huge, and there are plenty of sights to see, I hope you will enjoy all the nice pictures I'll take.
